Yes, we do have some rules. When we have agreed to sell your merchandise we will ask you to sign a contract. This contract will be binding and will be in force for all listings we do for you. To not bore you with the entire contract I will give you some of the most important things here. For clarification, the Consignor is you and Bergersbizness is the Seller.
- Consignor must be in legal possession of all merchandise.
- All offered merchandise will be clean, properly functioning, and in good working condition. Any merchandise that is brought to us that must be cleaned or washed prior to listing will be charged a $5 cleaning fee.
- Seller has the right to refuse to sell any item if it is prohibited for sale on eBay, morally objectionable, not of sufficient value, does not meet the Seller's standards, questionable as to its authenticity, not in proper working condition, contains flaws that could adversely affect its selling value, or there is doubt that the Consignor is the rightful owner.
- All merchandise must be left in the possession of the Seller for the duration of the listings. Large or heavy items will be handled on a case by case basis.
- Seller will gladly pick up any merchandise within 10 miles of Ledyard, CT. Any points beyond 10 miles will be subject to a $10 per trip pickup fee.
- All listings must have a starting price of $19.99. Items may be sold in lots to attain this starting price if need be.
- Consignor agrees to the starting price suggested by the Seller. This price is determined by the current market value and/or selling trends of the item.
- All listings must be allowed to run their course. Once a listing has received a bid the consignor CANNOT ask for the listing to be ended.
- Bids cannot be made by the Consignor or any of their family or friends for any auction format listings. This is called "Shill Bidding" and is prohibited by eBay. This does not apply to Fixed Price or Store Format listing where the cost is set as a Buy It Now price.
- Any merchandise that does not sell must be picked up by the consignor within 45 days of the close of the listing. If not claimed, merchandise will be considered abandoned and will become the property of the Seller to dispose of how they deem fit.
